USAID/BASICS to be Featured in Seven GHC Conference Presentations


May 7, 2008—This month’s Global Health Council International Conference will feature seven innovative presentations from USAID/BASICS, including two delivered in partnership with MSH’s Strengthening Pharmaceutical Systems Program.

  • USAID/BASICS Technical Director, Bill Newbrander, will present Basic Package of Health Services—Foundation of Afghanistan’s Health System on Wednesday, May 28 from 1:45 to 3:45 (C3, Governors Room). This covers work conducted during the period Newbrander oversaw MSH’s program of rapid impact assistance to the health sector in Afghanistan and capacity building for the Ministry of Health.
  • Communications Manager, Paul Crystal, will be moderating a panel entitled Fueling the Future: Child Nutrition and Food Security, which will occur on Wednesday, May 28 from 1:45 to 3:45 (C4, Congressional Room).
